Information you enter in the Case Diary

The Case Diary lets you keep case details (party names, case numbers, court, dates, purpose), client details (name, mobile number, email), notes, photos of documents and voice notes. All of this is stored only on your own phone. The App does not upload it to any server, and we cannot see it.

If you import a file exported from the eCourts Services app, that file is read on your phone and its contents are saved only on your phone.

You are responsible for the client information you choose to enter. Please enter only what you need for your professional work and keep the Diary PIN lock switched on.

Information we do not collect

The App does not ask you to create an account. It does not collect your name, contacts, location, advertising ID or usage analytics, and it shows no advertisements.

Content downloaded from our website

To show tools, the Courts Hub, the legal quiz and updates, the App downloads public pages from asklawxperts.com. These requests are ordinary web requests, as when you open the website in a browser.

Update notifications

To send notices about legal updates, jobs and exams, the App uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase gives the phone a technical notification ID; it is used only to deliver these notices and is not linked to your name or Case Diary.

Sharing and reminders

When you choose to send a hearing reminder, the App opens WhatsApp, your SMS app or your email app with a ready message. The message is sent only if you press Send in that app, and it is then handled by that app’s own privacy policy.

Permissions

Camera and photos: only when you attach a document photo to a case. Microphone: only when you record a voice note. Notifications: to remind you of the next day’s cases and to show legal update notices. Files: only when you import or export a Diary file.

Backup and deletion

You can export your Diary as a file and keep it wherever you choose. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data permanently deletes everything stored in it on your phone.

Children

The App is meant for legal professionals and law students and is not directed at children.

ASK Law Xperts is an independent app. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any court, police, government department, DSLSA/NALSA, the Bar Council of Delhi or any Bar Association. Court, police, Sub-Registrar, Lok Adalat and Bar directory information is taken from the official websites of those bodies; the source and date of checking are shown in the App and on the website.
